Multi-mode Video Recorder

Terms of Service (EULA)

License Grant

Chaska For You grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the Multi-mode Video Recorder app strictly in accordance with these Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is")

The App is provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, the Developer expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

The App depends on the camera, microphone, motion sensors, storage, and processing power of your iPhone, and on what iOS allows. Dual Capture mode needs an iPhone that can record from two cameras at once; on other devices it is not offered. Level mode keeps the horizon straight by rotating and cropping the picture, so the edges of the frame are not recorded, and it follows the motion sensors, which may lag or hold their angle when the phone is held flat. Blur mode estimates where people are in each frame on the device: parts of a person may be blurred or parts of the background left sharp, especially with fast movement, unusual poses, poor light, or several people in the picture. Blackout mode always keeps a visible recording indicator on screen; it does not hide the fact that a recording is in progress. A recording stops, and the part recorded so far is saved, when iOS interrupts the camera (a phone call, another app taking the camera or microphone, the App leaving the screen, or your iPhone being locked), when storage runs out, or, in the free version, when it reaches the 5-minute limit. We do not guarantee that a recording will start, continue, or be saved, that the picture or sound will be of any particular quality, or that the App will work with every microphone, accessory, or future iOS version. The App is a convenience tool only and is not a safety-critical system; do not rely on it for evidence, security, surveillance, medical, or emergency purposes.

Usage Restrictions

You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Modify, make derivative works of, disassemble, decrypt, or reverse compile any part of the App.
  • Use the App to record people, conversations, or places where recording is prohibited, or where the law requires the consent of the people being recorded, without that consent; to spy on, stalk, or harass anyone; or for any purpose that is unlawful or that infringes the rights of others. You are solely responsible for complying with the recording, privacy, and wiretapping laws that apply wherever you record.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notice (including any notice of copyright or trademark) of the Developer or its affiliates.

Recordings, Storage & Backup Responsibility

The App's core purpose is to record videos and keep them in its own storage on your iPhone until you save them to Photos, share them, or delete them. Recordings are stored only on your device; the Developer has no copy and cannot recover a recording for you. Saving a recording to Photos creates a separate copy that is then governed by Apple's Photos app and your iCloud settings, and sharing a recording hands a copy to the app or person you choose, who are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Deleting a recording, deleting the App, restoring or resetting your iPhone, running out of storage, or a failed backup may permanently and irreversibly delete your recordings. You are solely responsible for saving the recordings that matter to you to Photos or another safe place and for keeping backups. The Developer is not responsible for a recording that was not started, was interrupted, was not saved, or was lost, damaged, or deleted.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the Developer be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of privacy, loss of data, a lost, interrupted, corrupted, or deleted recording, a moment that was not captured, a recording made or shared in breach of someone else's rights, damage to your device, or other pecuniary loss) arising out of or in any way related to the use of or inability to use the App.

In-App Purchases

The App offers optional premium features (Video Recorder Pro) through in-app purchases: a weekly subscription, a yearly subscription, and a one-time lifetime purchase, each of which removes the 5-minute limit on a single recording for as long as it is active. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple's refund policies; the price is shown in the App before you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions are charged to your Apple Account and renew automatically for the same period at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them at any time in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple Account and Subscriptions, and a cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Purchase validation and premium access management are handled through a third-party service called RevenueCat using an anonymous identifier. We do not receive or store your payment details. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account and can be restored from the App's Settings on any iPhone signed in with the same account.

Apple & App Store Terms

You downloaded the App from Apple's App Store, so the following terms, which Apple requires of every custom licence agreement, also apply:

  • Acknowledgement: these Terms are concluded between you and the Developer only, not with Apple. The Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
  • Scope of licence: the licence granted to you is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the App may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
  • Maintenance and support: the Developer is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
  • Warranty: the Developer is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not disclaimed above. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are the Developer's sole responsibility.
  • Product claims: the Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the App fails to conform to an applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
  • Intellectual property: in the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, the Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
  • Legal compliance: you represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Developer contact: questions, complaints, and claims about the App can be sent to Shagun Verma (Chaska For You), Uttar Pradesh, India, at [email protected].
  • Third-party terms: you must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App, such as your wireless data service agreement.
  • Third-party beneficiary: Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Business Transfers & Acquisition

The Developer reserves the right to sell, transfer, or assign this App, its associated codebase, assets, and these Terms of Service to a third party in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. In such an event, your continued use of the App signifies your agreement to be bound by the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of the subsequent owner or acquiring company.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, specifically within the jurisdiction of Uttar Pradesh, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
