How to Keep a Loved One's Photo Always on Your Android Screen
A wallpaper is hidden the moment you open an app, and a home screen widget only shows when you go looking. If you want a face to stay with you through the day, it has to float above everything else.
A locket instead of a wallpaper
Gravity Locket shows a small photo in a frame that hangs from the top of the screen, above every app. Tilt the phone and it swings gently on its thread, like a real locket. Tap it and it can open the person's chat, their contact or your shared album.
Set it up in two minutes
- Install Gravity Locket and allow display over other apps.
- Pick the photo and crop it into a circle, rounded square, pentagon or star.
- Choose the size and thread length that feel right, and where along the top it hangs.
- Set single tap to open their chat, double tap to call, pull down to open your photos.
It knows when to step aside
The locket hides automatically on secure screens, in landscape mode and when the screen is off, so it never blocks a video or a payment. It returns when you are back in portrait. Battery use stays low because the physics only runs while the locket is visible.
Private by design
The photo stays on your phone; the app never uploads it, and it does not read what is on your screen. If the locket is for someone you have lost, the quiet swing when you move can be a small, kind reminder through the day, and a tap can open the photos you keep of them.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use two photos?
One locket shows one photo at a time; swap it whenever you like from the app.
Will it cover notifications?
It hangs below the status bar and does not block the notification shade.
Does it work with any launcher?
Yes. It floats above the launcher and apps, independent of which home screen you use.
